2026 Farm Transitions Conference
Join us in Ankeny, Iowa – or online – February 5th and 6th for our 2026 Farm Transitions Conference!
Our annual conference offers two full days of targeted education for farm families and landowners who are seeking information on how to transition their farm to the next generation. Whether you’re just beginning to think about succession or are nearing retirement, the conference offers practical guidance from experts for each stage of your journey. Those approaching retirement will benefit from sessions on structuring operational and land transitions to meet long-term financial and personal goals, while balancing the needs of the successor and the continued farming operation. Newer farmers stepping into existing operations will gain tools for engaging in the transition process and strengthening their role.
We have a great lineup of speakers who will share current, targeted information that you can implement right away. Experts, including attorneys, farm management specialists, and consultants, will cover a wide range of transition topics, including succession planning strategies using entities such as LLCs, key estate and income tax updates, long-term care considerations, optimizing family harmony, working with non-family successors, and more! Presenters will also address approaches for including off-farm heirs while ensuring that successor farmers have the necessary tools and opportunities to succeed in the long term.
The conference is also a valuable opportunity to connect with peers. Many past attendees have shared how meaningful it was to talk with others navigating similar challenges.
While we encourage in-person participation, a fully virtual option is available for those unable to travel.
We can’t wait to see you!
